John Smyth—also known as John "the Brush" and signing "J.T.B"—was born in 1946, in Blackheath, South East London, England. He worked as freelance artist for the studio Words & Pictures, for Mike Cole of Atlantis Software and other software houses, making many cover artworks for home computer systems. He has been the most prolific artist for Mastertronic, designing also the mascot, "Mistertronic". Playing in a band, he’s now creating great fantasy artwork, both in 2 dimensions, sculpture and 3D modeling, as freelance and fine art artist.
John would like to mention that he’s “flattered and surprised [and most grateful] that anyone remembers or is interested in me.”
