Fun to discover that this piece only survived on account of an ex-Mastertronic employee Anthony Guter "rescuing" it before a company move! http://www.guter.org/mastertronic/mastertronic_artwork.htm Wonderful it has ended up in your collection, @Nic

So fantastic we were finally able to identify the artist for this one! Now to hope more of Dave's Lemmings art turns up

Great finds, Pablo! I will add them to Steve's bio. All three are great works and its good his initials made it onto the spine.

According to the Spectrum Computing forum, the SW'87 signature can be seen over the cockpit's window, on the left side of the framed picture. We are pretty sure that this signature is from Steve Weston, great artist that worked for Hewson and British Telecom (Firebird and Rainbird labels), and 21st Century Entertainment.
Thank you!
Best regardsExceptional! Thank you! Hard to see in the photo of the painting, but yep right on the German magazine ad I see the initials. Plus apparently MobyGames credits Steve Weston for the box art and I clearly see the same "SW" initials on another Firebird box art he did: Rasputin. I'll work on adding Steve to the OVGA database! @Ibrahim_UK

Oh and when I was trying to put together a bio for Stephanie, I couldn't find anything! So if you know more about her background, where she was from, her life etc., send us a message. We'd like to try and capture that a bit, especially knowing the info isn't otherwise available

The Wikipedia page for Tim White mentions "He also designed jewelry to complement some of his paintings." I wonder if this box art is similar, or if perhaps in addition to this painting he first designed a physical item as a reference for his art?

Really neat to see the shift in orientation from how it was painted to how it was published! That slight rotation and how they cropped it was a good design choice

What's the story behind this one, Jeremy? I recall some Metroid comic art you had but I vaguely remember this one was different?

Looks like the top design would be for the larger 5 1/4" floppy disk, such as for Commodore computers, and the bottom design for the DOS 3.5" floppy

Irem Skins (Major Title) Super Nintendo Box Art by Scott McDougall

This was a really great buy! I like Scott's rendering across the box art he illustrated, and Irem was quasi-first party for Nintendo at the time, or something like that, which is an added bonus. That said, the US title of the game is completely baffling. I'd never heard of Major Title either, but at least that appears to have been the name of the arcade release.
