  1. Description: Another masterful painting by Mark Heine. IREM's problems in 1994 likely were the reason this title was published by Jaleco in North America. This game, developed exclusively for the Super NES, largely fixed the slow-down problems that plagued its arcade-port predecessors. In 1997, Electronic Gaming Monthly named R-Type III as the 23rd best console video game of all time. IGN currently ranks it #65 of best Super NES games of all time. 2. Description: The Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout NES Box Art. The painting had approximately 1” at the bottom covered up with tape. The covered-up area does not appear in any published material. I carried out the conservation work and successfully removed the tape, and cleaned the leftover residue.  Larry Grossman initials can be seen on the hilt of Yosemite Sam’s gun. Members of the development team have provided some insights, though they are conflicting. One suggested it was used as internal marketing for the sequel. Another suggested it was intended to help animators with one of the main s

  7. This is the big daddy of video game logos and one of the most recognizable pieces of game artwork in existence: the dragon from the original arcade release of Mortal Kombat in 1992. It's the game that single-handedly turned the video game industry upside down and spawned the creation of the ESRB for all the angry moms and senators who complained about video game violence. In 1992, Paul Niemeyer was hired as a freelancer by Midway to illustrate the Mortal Kombat arcade cabinet and the dragon i
