    Thanks; I actually worked with him on slot machines at a Social Casino company for almost 3 years before I realized who he was.  It has been nice getting to know him better over the years, being able to purchase this piece, and get all my old boxes signed.

    Peringer's work is super sharp! I see some similarities to the GBC artwork for R-Type DX, but from Peringer's website, it would appear that that's a separate painting

    The Art you posted above is the side art for the arcade machine that was later used on the front of the various Gameboy releases.

    What I have is the original arcade marquee art that was later used on the back of the Gameboy box art.

    Ah! That makes total sense! Two pieces created for the arcade that then got separately used on the front and back of the Game Boy box. Killer!
