Lawrence “Larry” Michael Salk was an American illustrator that lived most of his life in Los Angeles, California. Larry got his start in fashion illustration, but in the mid-1960 found his niche producing posters for the Hollywood movie industry as well as a variety of commercial illustration assignments. Between TV and film, Larry designed over 165 one sheets for various film studios and distributors. Larry also did a series of paintings for the ‘90s hit TV show Seinfeld and despite his long run in the movie industry may be most remembered for his infamous oil portrait of Kramer from an episode of the show.
A distinguished member of the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, Larry served as the Society's President in 1986 and in 1995 received its Lifetime Achievement Award.
