Joe Madureira, often called Joe Mad, is an American comic book artist and game developer, best known for his work on Darksiders, Marvel Comics' Uncanny X-Men, and his creator-owned comic book Battle Chasers. Joe provided box artwork for Capcom's Marvel Super Heroes (1997) for the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation as well as for the Sony PlayStation game Gekido (2000). For Gekido he actually created multiple separate illustrations, including for the U.S. box art, European box art, and at least two additional promotional images, one of which was used as the inside the jewel case for the U.S. release, under the game disc.
