Corey Wolfe has been an illustrator since 1979, with a self-taught background. Working both traditionally and digitally, he utilizes a Mac and Photoshop for digital work, while his line work is executed in Illustrator. Traditionally, Wolfe employs oils on illustration board or canvas, equally adept with acrylics. He also delves into photography, blending paintings and photographs digitally, utilizing Canon equipment in his full-size studio with strobes, often shooting models for reference. With a portfolio boasting collaborations with numerous large and small companies, Wolfe maintains a reputation for punctuality and professionalism, earning praise such as being termed "easy to work with" by a Disney art director. His clientele includes Disney, Mattel, Hasbro, Hanna-Barbera, Time magazine, Pepsi, McDonald's, Jim Henson, TSR, Wizards of the Coast, Penguin Books, DAW Books, Roc Books, Bantam Books, Apple, Universal Studios, RCA/Columbia, CBS, Blockbuster, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Purina, Carnation, Kraft Foods, Nestlé, DreamWorks, and Wonder Forge Games. Notably, his association with The Walt Disney Company is significant, having painted DVD movie covers, ads, and books, amassing over 1200 projects for Disney alone. Beyond his professional endeavors, Wolfe's interests lie in the unconventional, drawn to individuals who think outside the box and possess open minds. He finds inspiration in the realms of religion and art, believing in the innate wisdom within each individual, reflected in his eclectic artistic influences spanning from the 19th-century Neo-Classicists like Bouguereau and Leighton to later figures such as Maxfield Parrish, Leyendecker, Mucha, Wyeth, and Rockwell, among others.
