  1. Description: Another masterful painting by Mark Heine. IREM's problems in 1994 likely were the reason this title was published by Jaleco in North America. This game, developed exclusively for the Super NES, largely fixed the slow-down problems that plagued its arcade-port predecessors. In 1997, Electronic Gaming Monthly named R-Type III as the 23rd best console video game of all time. IGN currently ranks it #65 of best Super NES games of all time.
