Description: The final published image for this Flintstones GBA game was slightly rearranged, presumably to accommodate the game's title/logo. Given the small, square shape of the GBA boxes that meant flipping and moving around a few elements from the final inked image. Included below is an early image of the game's box prior to publication. It also shows Fred with a slightly different facial expression. Changes from that pre-publication image were made to Fred, accomplished by using new lines o

Description: Paul Kidby's box art painting for the European release of Takara's Battle Arena Toshinden. Paul shared that he had very little art direction for the assignment and was not provided any screenshots of the game, resulting in his more abstract take on the box art for the game. While the background of the painting appears to be airbrushed, the entirety of the emblem that makes up the main box art image is hand brushed and with quite a bit of fine detail. Description: Paul Kidby created this art for a feature article in the December 1993 issue of Edge magazine titled "Game Over." The article argued that game genres had led to stagnation in game design, but Paul's captivating painting more or less depicted the popular games of 1993. More than 30 years later, many of these characters remain instantly recognizable! Characters/games depicted: Goro from Mortal Kombat, Chun Li and Ken from Street Fighter, Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, a
